All of us, whatever our age or stage of life, can benefit from time spent with God, so I encourage you to develop a daily quiet time with the Lord. If we’re not careful, we find ourselves hurrying through prayer and reading God’s Word to get to the “important things,” but really, there is nothing more important than this.
Scripture tells us that Jesus longs to have fellowship with us. We have an open invitation from Him. The apostle John said that our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself said “Come to me, all who are weary and heavy–laden, and I will give you rest.” When we spend time with the Lord, we learn from Him. Students learn in the presence of their teacher, and we learn in the presence of ours. Just being in church once a week is not enough. When we refresh our spirit every day by spending time in His presence, our whole being is affected in a positive way.
Is there a good example for this? There is. It’s Jesus Christ. As He walked this earth, He sought to spend time with God the Father. He spent time in prayer. He spent time alone with God – away from even His closest disciples and family. He consistently met with God, sometimes in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon, and sometimes in the evening. He pulled away from the demands of ministry and deliberately maintained intimate contact with the Father. And He told His followers to follow His example: I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.

“If anyone has this world’s goods (resources for sustaining life) and sees his brother and fellow believer in need, yet closes his heart of compassion against him, how can the love of God live and remain in him? Let us not love [merely] in theory or in speech but in deed and in truth.” (1 John 3:17–18, AMP)
I’ve heard it said that you can give without loving, but you can’t love without giving. Notice this verse tells us that love isn’t just about our words or thoughts, it’s about our actions. Love is about reaching out and meeting the needs of others. Sometimes meeting someone’s needs is as simple as a smile or sharing a word of encouragement. There are many ways to show the love of God. Can you pay for someone’s gas or groceries? Do you see a need in someone’s life that you can meet? Remember, you are the hands and feet of Jesus in the earth. The Lord wants to bless you today so that you can be a blessing to others. He wants to work through you to show His love and compassion.
Today and every day, look for ways to put your love into action. The Bible says that it’s His kindness that leads people to repentance. He wants to show His kindness in the earth through you. Step out and sow good seeds of love by meeting the needs of others. God promises that those seeds will produce an abundant harvest in your life in return!

“…It is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.” (Romans 13:11, NKJV)
So many people today are living overwhelmed, exhausted and overburdened by the pressures of life. They’ve allowed themselves to live on autopilot, day in and day out, passive toward the things God has place in their hearts.
If that’s you, now is the time to get your fire back! Let me encourage you to press past the things that would try to hold you back. God is saying, “It’s high time to wake up.” Notice that phrasing. Not just time but high time. That means it’s incredibly important because you are coming into a destiny moment! You are sitting on the launching pad. God is about to thrust you to a new level! Now is not the time to be passive, sloppy or undisciplined. Now more than ever, it’s time to get focused and start moving forward!
Why is this so important? Just like the verse says, your salvation is nearer than it’s ever been. That means you are closer to seeing that dream come to pass than you’ve ever been. You are closer to meeting the right person, closer to that healing, closer to that breakthrough, promotion and provision. You may not be able to see it, but it can see you! Your victory is right around the corner. It’s high time to do what God is asking you to do so you can embrace the blessing He has for you!

I can’t imagine anything else worth living for. Not for someone else, and most certainly not for myself. No one else is more worth living for than the One who died to give me life, and life in Him abundantly.

I don’t know what your experience has been with your earthly father, but God is a good and perfect Father. He loves you with an everlasting love. He loves everything about you so much that He notices when a single hair falls from your head. He accepts you just the way you are, and He loves you enough to guide you and work His character in you. And, He will be your Father from now until eternity! He will never leave you nor forsake you. So thank Him for being your Everlasting Father today!

I hope this is helpful for anyone facing problems with their parents, like me :O

If you’re going to do anything great in life, if you’re going to be a great businessperson, a great teacher, a great parent or a great leader, not everyone is going to cheer you on. I’d love to tell you that your family, friends and co-workers will celebrate you, but that’s not the case. Some people simply can’t handle your success. As you grow and increase, as God pours out His favor, somebody will get jealous. Somebody will start finding fault. Don’t be surprised if a relative tries to belittle or discredit you. If you focus on making everyone around you happy, you’ll start changing and lose sight of what God has placed in your heart.
Friend, your destiny is too great to be distracted by people who are never going to affirm you. Don’t take it personally. It’s not about you. It’s their problem. Shake it off, run your race, be great anyway.
Greatness in the midst of criticism begins with forgiveness. Don’t hold a grudge. Bless those who curse you; pray for those who spitefully use you. As you keep doing what is right, God will honor you. He’ll promote you, and you’ll see the dreams and desires that He placed in your heart come to pass!
